Minnesota Youth Muskie Tournament Trail (MYMTT) is a series of statewide virtual tournaments, each of which can advance teams to the Minnesota high school muskie state championship.

Virtual Qualifier #3

Tournament Configuration

Students participate as a team of 2.

There is no max number of teams.

During each virtual qualifier tournament, participants can fish any 2 days within the tournament
period. Maximum fishing days is 2 per tournament.

Participants will be required to communicate their fishing days to the tournament director prior
to the start of each tournament period. This is communicated via the registration forms.

Participants will be required to use FishDonkey to capture photos of the caught fish and submit
the fish to tournament officials.

Registration is required to participate in any of these tournaments. Registration is currently open.

Virtual Qualifier #1

Registration Deadline: June 5, 2025 at 9:00 PM

Virtual Qualifier #2

Registration Deadline: June 19, 2025 at 9:00 PM

Virtual Qualifier #3

Registration Deadline: July 2, 2025 at 9:00 PM

Eligibility Criteria

Student

Must be in grade 7-12 at time of registration.

Must be enrolled in school at time of registration.

Must have a team partner identified at time of registration.

Not required to be affiliated with a high school fishing organization or team.

Adult

One adult boat operator must accompany the team (of 2 students).

Must be 19 years of age or older.

Must provide name and contact info at time of registration.

Must have watercraft liability insurance at time of registration.

Must have completed and passed a background check prior to time of registration.

Rules and Scoring

Tournament participants and adult boat operators are expected to read the rules and scoring system prior to the event.

Advancing to State Championship

The top 2 teams from each qualifier tournament will advance to the state championship.

“Team of the Year” will advance to the state championship. Teams will accrue points for each of the statewide virtual qualifier tournaments. The team with the most points after all 3 qualifiers will be designated as team of the year.

Any team that catches a muskie 40 inches or more in any of the virtual qualifier tournaments will
be entered into a random drawing. At the end of the MYMTT season, the tournament director will randomly draw 1 of those teams to advance to the state championship.
