Scholarships

The YHO scholarship program is designed to help students with their post-secondary learning experiences.

Scholarship 2025

Participation and Eligibility

Scholarships may be awarded by Youth Heritage Outdoors (YHO) for a variety of reasons, but the primary way to earn a scholarship is to finish as one of the top placing teams in The Legacy tournament each year. When a scholarship is awarded to a single student, then that student is the sole recipient of the funds. When a scholarship is awarded to a team of two (or more) students, then the funds are split. For example, a $5,000 scholarship awarded to a team of two is designated as $2,500 per student. Funds cannot be granted or transferred to anyone else.

Scholarship funds will be reserved for a period of two years after the student’s graduation. If funds are unclaimed by that time, then YHO will place the money back into the general scholarship fund to be used for future events. Scholarships are valid for one school/program year and are not renewable. Scholarships are applicable for in-state or out-of-state schools and programs.

Restrictions for Usage of Funds

Scholarships may be used for any of the following post-secondary learning experiences.

  • 4 year degree
